French Biriyani will give audiences two hours of stress-free laughter: Puneeth Rajkumar

Funnyman Danish Sait has quite the celeb fan following, one of who is namma Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar. Such is the admiration for the humour that Danish brings to the table, that Puneeth and his wife Ashwini jumped at the chance to produce a film starring him. “Ashwini and I have been following Danish’s comic videos and quite enjoy them. So, when Pannaga (Bharana) to us that he was looking at making a film with Danish in the lead, we were interested.The clincher, though, was that it was a comedy and had a stellar supporting cast, including Sal Yusuf, Rangayana Raghu, Pitobash, Mahantesh Hiremath, Disha Madan, Nagabhushana, etc. In these trying times, when everyone is stressed about the pandemic, we thought it would be nice to give people a two-hour fun ride. We want everyone to forget everything and have a hearty laugh while watching this film,” says Puneeth, who has also sung a song for the film.
French Biriyani, produced by Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar for PRK Productions and Gurudath A Talwar, releases today on Amazon Prime Video. The film, directed by Pannaga Bharana has music by Vasuki Vaibhav and revolves around two characters, Asgar and Simon, played by Danish and Sal, respectively. According to the team, the story follows every character in their chase of a bag. The film was shot in Bengaluru, predominantly in and around Shivajinagar.
